RICH vs POOR (Original Painting)
"RICH vs POOR" is a direct and unfiltered visual confrontation about the oldest and most current duality of humanity: wealth versus poverty. In this work, ROBGALAR presents two universal symbols of money: one in flat yellow, simple, almost empty, which is associated with lack and limitation; opposite another symbol in red, with energetic strokes, golden and explosive lines that evoke power, excess and abundance. Both live together on the same canvas, as in society opposite realities coexist that they rarely manage to find.
This work is born from the personal experience of the artist within the art world, where the experience of the emerging artist that no one knows is lived and everyone devalues his work, vs the recognized artist who sells his pieces in imaginable numbers that one day breaks records. As the industry is known today. That is why it is as evident as in any other market: that a few concentrate purchasing power, while many drown on the shore without the opportunity to get out of the water.
This single piece that ROBGALAR invented, is not only a more common and ordinary painting, it is a manifesto of the period: a reminder that money divides, but also unites in a single world, "Art". That is why RICH vs POOR is not limited to pointing directly to the issue of the rich vs. the poor that one day we seek to double or triple its value in the future.
